Say It's Possible

Have you ever thought about turning yourself into a rock star?? There's an easy way to do that; you just have to write your own music, make a video and post it on YouTube. If you're lucky enough people will like it, and a couple of months later you might be signing with a major record label...

This girl did that, her name is Terra Naomi and she became so popular that in march of this year she received one of the inaugural YouTube Video Awards in the music video category.

Terra plays the guitar and piano, and she writes and performs her own songs. We could say that her music is some kind of alternative rock/pop, but as usual it's hard to classify an artist, because they have a lot of influences...
Naomi had to struggle a lot before she became "famous", in the beginning she had to play in a lot of bars and clubs without getting the attention of any record label, but thanks to YouTube and the video of her song Say It's Possible, she signed with Island Records, and on september 17 she released "Under The Influence", her first LP under a record label, 'cause she recorded a couple of EPs and LPs before, but they were all independent releases.
